Should be finished with the fabrication tomorrow.
Still need hands, face and horses head and tail etc.

Body is an artillery shell casing.
Worked on saddle, leg and arm connections. Collar is a gear. I wanted a spanish knight sort of flavor so I used the finials from our headboard for epilets. How am I going to explain this one to my wife ? Maybe she won't notice. I need a 1952 Desoto hubcap for the shield.

I usually start several pieces at once. This way I can work on whichever one inspires me or which one I have parts for.

"Family Business"

This is a sculp I started a few months ago and became side-tracked when I found an ironing board beside the road and was inspired to make "Domestic Surfer Preparing To Hang Ten". This is an appropriate subject for the Goddard Center .
The center has classes for children and adults . It is also a Performing Arts center with theater for adults and children. This piece combines children, family, and performance .It's also about the future growing out of the past. This seems to be a recurring theme in my work lately.

Don Quixote
One of Ardmore Little Theatre's favorite plays is "Man Of Lamancha". I decided to make a life size Don Quixote and horse for this show.
